The Liberal Government has now received the stage two report from PricewaterhouseCoopers on the review of the Retirement Benefits Fund.
The aim of this review, commissioned by the former Labor-Green Government, is to identify options for the most appropriate way to manage public sector superannuation into the future.
I have asked the RBF to hold discussions with two other major local Tasmanian superannuation funds, TasPlan & Quadrant – and to report back to me on options that they believe should be considered by Government.
Any decision will be made in the best interest of members and will not affect members' legislated entitlements.
The Government hopes to be in a position to make a final decision by the end of the year.
