Today’s Council of Australian Governments continued our strong track record of working collaboratively with the Australian Government to deliver positive results for Tasmania.
It was the first COAG meeting since the re-election of the Morrison Government, which delivered additional commitments for our community in infrastructure, public housing and essential services.
We have today progressed important work on key priority areas including keeping our economy strong to support more jobs for people with the right skills, preventing family violence and suicide, reducing waste and protecting our precious environment, and making Tasmania the renewable energy battery of the nation.
Tasmanians expect their governments to work together and get on with the job of delivering for our State, and that’s exactly what we have again done today.
