REISSUED: New Chairs Appointed to Property Agents Tribunal and Board

The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to a well-regulated property agents industry.

Today, I am pleased to announce that Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC, Governor of Tasmania, has formally appointed Keyran Pitt QC as president of the Property Agents Tribunal.

Mr Pitt has years of experience in the legal profession, with his principal area of practice being in planning and environmental law.

He has served as president of the Bar Association of Tasmania and as the chairman of directors at the Centre for Heritage Companies.

The Governor has also appointed Ann Cunningham as chair of the Property Agents Board and Andrew Wright as a new member, with Adrian Kelly reappointed as a member.

On behalf of the Government, I congratulate and thank outgoing chair John Upcher and member John Soundy for their service.

The Property Agents Tribunal and the Property Agents Board play important roles in regulating the real estate industry in accordance with the Property Agents and Land Transaction Act 2005.
