Recognising Outstanding Business Women

Tasmanians are urged to consider nominating outstanding local business women for the Telstra Tasmanian Business Women’s Awards.

Now in their 23rd year, the awards not only recognise innovative and exceptional business women, but also help to raise the profile of women in business.

The awards help to breakdown gender stereotypes and encourage girls and young women to pursue their chosen careers and to have the courage to lead.

Those women who have been recognised in the past come from a diverse range of working backgrounds while sharing in common great success in their fields as well as important contributions to Tasmania’s economy and community.

I urge everyone to stand behind our outstanding business women by nominating them for the 2017 Telstra Tasmanian Business Women’s Awards.

Anyone can nominate a business woman they admire, or of course, business women can nominate themselves, for any of the five Award categories: Entrepreneur Award, For Purpose and Social Enterprise Award, Public Sector and Academia Award, Corporate and Private Award, and Young Business Women’s Award.

Nominations open from Wednesday 26 April and can be completed online at the website or by calling 1800 816 536.

The Tasmanian Awards will be presented on 13 October, with the national awards to follow on 1 December. The website is:  www.telstrabusinesswomensawards.com
