Rebecca White must apologise

Rebecca White has hit a new low exploiting patients in a desperate attempt to try and get a political hit.

Ms White has gone too far and must apologise for her massive overreach in Parliament today.

It’s becoming a Rebecca White tactic to spruik mistruths to detract from her own failures.

I have confirmed that Tasmanian Health Service Doctors do not and will not send acutely unwell people to hotels – or hostels. Their reputation and clinical judgement has been unfairly ridiculed today by the entirely unqualified Ms White.

The RHH has provided information in relation to the patient Ms White raised, which directly contradicts her claim made in Parliament. Ms White has been caught out. There is no defence and should apologise immediately.

There are longstanding arrangements to help people find accommodation, after they are discharged and no longer need hospital care, for example people who are homeless. Is Ms White seriously proposing homeless people should be left on the streets rather than kindly assisted into temporary accommodation after discharge?

This is very different to Labor’s disastrous medihotels thought bubble which would see sick people sent to hotels and hospital beds close.
