Labor Leader Rebecca White has failed a major test of her leadership by admitting Labor will not deliver an Alternative Budget.
It is clear that Ms White has just given up.
Everyone knows failed former Finance Minister Scott Bacon is lazy, so it’s no surprise that he won’t pen an Alternative Budget.
But, it is Ms White’s job as leader to make sure Mr Bacon and the broader ALP do their job.
If Mr Bacon is not up to it, Ms White should give the job to someone who is.

Without an Alternative Budget, Ms White’s $1 billion Election Commitments mean nothing.
Without an Alternative Budget, Ms White has zero credibility when it comes to budget management.
Ms White is just trying to hide the fact that a Labor Alternative Budget would show that Labor has no real plan for Tasmania.
We all know that Labor have absolutely no credibility when it comes to managing the Budget. Last time they were in charge they delivered deficits, debt and economic recession.
In contrast, the Hodgman Liberal Government has a long term plan that delivered a surplus four years ahead of schedule, the strongest business confidence in the country and nation leading economic growth.
