Preserving our Parks for future generations

The Tasmanian Government is committed to preserving our precious natural assets so future generations can enjoy our State’s unrivalled natural environment.

To help support the management and preservation of our world renowned parks the Government has opened applications for 15 new positions in the Parks and Wildlife Service.

The positions include field-based roles and to provide additional capability in compliance, park and reserve planning and recreation.

Several of the positions to be advertised will be dedicated to allow Aboriginal people to work on country in a career with the Tasmanian Public Service.

Locations for the new ranger positions include Strahan, Mt Field, Lake St Clair, Deloraine, Arthur River, St Helens and Bruny Island, as well as Hobart and other regional offices.
