**UNDER STRICT EMBARGO until 11pm, Thursday, Sept.28**
Congratulations to Petuna’s Peter and Una Rockliff for their induction into the National Seafood Industry Hall of Fame as well as receiving an industry Ambassador Award in Sydney tonight.
Peter and Una bought their first fishing boat in 1949 and while they have seen and led many of the industry changes within the state, they have stayed true to their ethos of selling quality Tasmanian seafood.
The Tasmanian Government is a strong supporter of the seafood industry and it is families like this who have helped to give Tasmania the world class seafood reputation it has today.
The Rockliff's are respected industry wide, so it is no surprise that their nomination from the Tasmanian Seafood Industry Council has seen them recognised with the highest national award.
It is also the first time a Tasmanian business has received this recognition.
Peter and Una have been leaders in the Tasmanian seafood industry for almost 70 years and this honour now recognises their contribution nationally.
