Ouch!

Opposition Leader Bec White will be feeling the sharp pain from sitting on the fence on yet another important issue.

Ms White will be wanting to extract the splinters, but she can’t because Labor is trying to walk both sides of the argument when it comes to reopening the Arthur Pieman area to four wheel driving.

If Ms White was an experienced and a strong leader, she would understand you have to take a stand, you have to stand up for what you believe in and you can’t sit on the fence and avoid making a decision.

Unfortunately, Ms White and Labor are sitting on the fence on pokies, they’re soft on crime, soft on salmon and deeply divided.

On the weekend when asked about reopening tracks in the Arthur Pieman, Ms White and Braddon Labor MP Shane Broad gave weak and wishy-washy answers.

They clearly have not learned the lessons of the previous Labor-Green government and are showing contempt for North-West Tasmanians and particularly those who enjoy this part of our State.

Labor had the opportunity to demonstrate that it is listening to the people of this region, to show that they are no longer tied to the Greens; and they failed.

Only the Liberals will reopen the Arthur Pieman to four-wheel driving.
