Opening of new facilities at Ulverstone Primary

With the budget back on track the Hodgman Liberal Government is able to reinvest in school infrastructure like the $525,000 upgrade at Ulverstone Primary School.

Today it is my pleasure to officially open the Ulverstone Primary School redevelopment which includes an upgraded administration area to welcome parents and the school community, along with an interactive library space.

These modernised learning facilities reflect contemporary educational practices and ensure we can meet the needs of our students into the future.

By building Tasmania’s education future this Government is improving students' learning outcomes and creating a job-ready generation, driving economic growth and creating jobs from planning to construction.

Replacing aging infrastructure as the school approaches its 150 year anniversary in 2020 is an investment that will serve the school community for years to come, cleverly designed by Launceston architects 6tyo and completed by Burnie contractor Stubbs Construction.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is making the biggest state investment in Government School infrastructure in 20 years, including construction projects worth over $110 million across four years.
