One Health System vital to improve poor health performance of the past decade

The case of Lois Sheridan demonstrates exactly why the Liberals’ Plan to fix the broken health system is needed.

The unacceptable wait times which are a feature of the current broken health system are a key reason for our One Health System reforms, the improvements outlined in the White Paper, and the additional $100 million for frontline health services.

We’ve presented our Plan to fix the broken health system and work is underway to implement it.

Labor were in Government for 16 long years and in that time there were tens of thousands of patients who waited years for elective surgery or even to be seen by specialists.

Under Labor the wait times for outpatient appointments were actively hidden from public view. We published these hidden waiting lists so Tasmanians had a real picture of the broken health system and what needs to be done to fix it.

Labor's whingeing has demonstrated that they have no plan at all to fix the broken system, let alone admit that this broken system is Labor's legacy gift to Tasmanians.

What is Ms White’s plan to help patients who are waiting too long? They didn’t have one through 16 years of Government and Rebecca White has again confirmed that they still don’t have one now.

Everybody knows about the problems with the broken health system we currently have in Tasmania. My challenge to Ms White and Labor is to do what the Liberal Government has done and actually put forward constructive solutions.
