Official opening of South Hobart Primary School upgrades

Students at South Hobart Primary School are the latest to benefit from the Hodgman Liberal Government’s $110 million school infrastructure upgrade program.

The $3.6 million redevelopment of South Hobart primary was officially unveiled today, and includes new classrooms and improved room layout, as well as spacious new decks which connect classrooms to outdoor learning spaces.

The upgrade not only means a better learning environment for students, it also will accommodate the school’s growing numbers.

I congratulate Dunbabin Architects, Maverick Builders and Playstreet landscape design for their work on the two-stage project, the first of which was completed last year.

Providing students with better learning environments so they can achieve their best, is all part of our Plan to Build Your Future.

This project has also helped support the Tasmanian economy, creating jobs from planning to construction.
