New TasTAFE Board Member Appointed

The new member of the TasTAFE Board Ray Mostogl will bring 35 years of industry expertise to the role.

Mr Mostogl is the general manager of Bell Bay Aluminium and brings an in-depth understanding of the needs of industry as an employer and active member of various industry groups.

He is also a strong supporter of apprentices with Bell Bay Aluminium having a long history of providing both young and mature age apprentices opportunities.

In testament to Mr Mostogl’s leadership he was awarded CEO Magazine Australia’s Manufacturing Executive of the Year in 2014.

Mr Mostogl is the current president of the Tasmanian Minerals and Energy Council Board and a Director of the Board of the Launceston Chamber of Commerce.

I congratulate Mr Mostogl on the appointment, which will help to build on one of TasTAFE’s greatest strengths; it’s strong connections with industry.

Mr Mostogl fills the vacancy created when former board chair Kathryn Thomas resigned in January due to her Global Learning role with IBM.

Nick Burrows will continue as Interim Chair of the TasTAFE Board.
