The Tasmanian Government is pleased to announce that Ms Rowena Holder has been appointed as President of the Guardianship and Administration Board.
Ms Holder has been a member of the Guardianship and Administration Board since 2009 and the Mental Health Tribunal since 2014.
An accredited mediator and dispute resolution practitioner, Ms Holder has extensive qualifications and experience, including 19 years in legal practice in Tasmania.
Immediately before her appointment, Ms Holder was an acting manager at the Legal Aid Commission of Tasmania.
Ms Holder’s appointment is for five years and is effective from 8 August, 2016.
The Government takes this opportunity to thank former President, Ms Anita Smith, for her 13 years of service, and Deputy President Mr Colin McKenzie, who capably fulfilled the President’s functions while an appointment process took place.
