Jeremy Rockliff, Minister for Racing

New Office of Racing Integrity General Manager appointed

Today I am pleased to announce the appointment of Reid Sanders as the Office of Racing Integrity General Manager.

This is a welcome announcement for Tasmania’s racing industry, with Mr Sanders bringing outstanding knowledge and experience to the role.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is a strong supporter of the racing industry and we are working hard to ensure it has a sustainable future.

Mr Sanders has worked in senior roles over the past two decades, providing professional integrity services to a number of racing control bodies throughout Australia and internationally.

He has recently held the role of Chief Operating Officer for Harness Racing New South Wales and prior to this, was the Director of Racing and Chief Stipendiary Steward in Macau, China.

In the past he also held senior racing integrity roles in Queensland and New Zealand.

Mr Sanders was selected following an extensive recruitment process, which included local and national advertising, and will start in the position on October 2, 2017, for a term of five years.

On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I congratulate Mr Sanders on his appointment.
