New Kindergarten a Positive Learning Environment at Dodges Ferry Primary

Younger students at Dodges Ferry Primary School have a modern new Kindergarten to help create a learning environment that offers the best start to their education.

On behalf of the Education Minister, I was pleased today to officially open the new facilities, which include two Kindergarten and early years classrooms, an upgraded outdoor learning and play area and a new garden area for outdoor lessons.

The $850,000 project was funded by the State Government and provides the growing Southern Beaches school with purpose-built kindergarten facilities.

This year, 53 children were enrolled in Kindergarten at Dodges Ferry out of a total enrolment of 449 students, and numbers are expected to increase again next.

Built by Hazell Brothers and skilfully designed in close consultation with the school community by Liminal Architecture, the new Kindergarten is a creative and inviting space in which to learn, socialise and grow.

The Liberal Government understands that a positive start to their school life is essential for our young children.

Dodges Ferry Primary now boasts safe and stimulating facilities that will help ensure a bright future our students and our State.
