The Hodgman Liberal Government’s Community Infrastructure Fund is helping local communities around Tasmania update vital infrastructure to the benefit of everyone in the community.
The residents of the West Tamar and Tamar River boat users are the latest to feel the benefits, with the Government committing $30,000 from the Fund on top of $125,000 from MAST towards the redevelopment of the jetty and a new pontoon for the Port Dalrymple Yacht Club at Beauty Point.
We also acknowledge the West Tamar Council for recently adding $10,000 to our commitment.
The new jetty will improve berthing for both local users and also visitors drawn to Tasmania’s stunning Tamar Valley region. It will be the only on-water public re-fuelling point in the region, meaning a boon for local businesses as visitors refuel.
It’s a great outcome for the West Tamar community and further confirms the Hodgman Government’s commitment to ensuring our regional communities can maximise their economic and tourism potential.
