New early learning centre for Windermere Primary School

The Hodgman Liberal Government has prioritised investment in education from the early years through to Year 12, because a good education is the pathway to a good job and a better life.

The new state-of-the-art early learning facility at Windermere Primary School is one example of a school benefitting from the biggest state investment in Government school infrastructure in 20 years- with $110 million being invested over four years to upgrade facilities at schools around the state.

The $5.5 million facility will include seven general learning areas plus support spaces, designed for early learning programs such as Launching into Learning (LiL), as well as kindergarten and prep classes. Completion is anticipated to be early in 2018.

Local architects M2Architecture, landscapers Inspiring Place, and builders Maveric Builders have been engaged to build this new facility- the Government is upgrading students’ learning environments while driving economic growth and creating jobs.

As part of our Plan to Build Your Future, a re-elected majority Liberal Government has a target for 75 per cent of students completing school with their TCE by 2022, and research shows that access to quality early play-based learning dramatically improves a child’s success throughout their education to adulthood.
