New Dunalley Primary School

Construction of a new  Dunalley Primary School is expected to be completed mid next year.

This weekend the Liberal Government will be calling for tenders to rebuild this important community asset which was destroyed by bushfire in January 2013.

Since the appointment of Dunbabin Architects in July 2013, the school's Project Working Group has worked closely with the architects to develop an overall concept for the new school.

I am very pleased we are now nearing the construction stage. It has been a long journey for the Dunalley community who are very much looking forward to a new purpose built school.

This project also represents a  boost for the Tasmanian construction industry.

To ensure school operations are not disrupted the temporary school will remain on site and  continue as normal until classes move into the new permanent buildings.

Tenders close on the 18th June 2014 with construction expected to begin in July.
