More than 100,000 Tasmanians will benefit from discounts offered in the new Seniors Card Directory released today.
The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to keeping older Tasmanians actively engaged with the community and this publication aims to encourage retired or semi-retired Tasmanians to continue to remain active, have new experiences and be closely involved in their local communities.
Businesses who take part cover the cost of the discounts they offer. More than 700 have registered and I thank them for supporting Tasmanian Seniors Card holders.
Their participation, generosity and goodwill is fantastic.
Discounts are offered across areas such as automotive, holiday and travel, household needs, leisure and recreation, professional services and retail shopping.
2017 will mark the 23rd year since the Seniors Card Program began in Tasmania.
The 2017-2018 Directory is available from Service Tasmania, LINC, the Tasmanian Visitor Information Centres and the offices of Members of Parliament. Further information about the Program is also available online at www.seniors.tas.gov.au or phone 1300 13 55 13.
