A local agricultural jobs campaign commences this weekend encouraging Tasmanians in need of work to roll the sleeves up and help our vital primary industries, while gaining new skills and experience in the process.
The campaign forms part of the Government’s $1.9 million Agricultural Workforce Resilience Package to support activities for the upcoming planting, production and harvesting season and will run in the state’s newspapers and on social media over the coming weeks.
Now and over the coming months, right across Tasmania, workers are needed to bring in the harvest. Tassie farms need pickers, drivers, sorters, packers and pruners.
This is a great opportunity for Tasmanians to earn hundreds of dollars a week, while gaining valuable skills and experience..
Agriculture is an exciting and growing industry and there are diverse jobs and career opportunities offering pathways for Tasmanians into seasonal work or long-term careers in agriculture.
We do understand the concerns of industry and are actively working with them on all scenarios ahead of the upcoming planting, production and harvest seasons.
