NAB survey says Tasmania’s businesses reporting best conditions in nation

Today’s NAB Monthly Business Survey for September 2018 confirms that Tasmanian businesses continue to report the most favourable business conditions in the nation, according to trend data.

Tasmanian businesses also reported the greatest levels of growth in business confidence in September compared to the previous month in trend terms, despite a flattening in confidence levels nationally.

Last month, only one other state, Victoria, reported an increase in business confidence in trend terms.

Today’s data follow recently released job vacancies figures which show vacancies growing at the highest rate in the country.

When businesses are confident in the direction of our State they invest and create jobs for Tasmanians.

Since March 2014, 15,300 jobs have been created, and today’s data is again proof of Tasmania’s positive economic direction.

The Hodgman Liberal Government’s long-term Plan is about ensuring the right economic framework is in place to assist business create more jobs.
