NAB confirms Tasmania’s economy is the envy of the nation

In another strong endorsement for the Hodgman majority Liberal Government, Tasmanian businesses continue to be among  the most confident in the country.

Tasmania has the fastest growing economy in the nation, a strong Budget in surplus and a Government that not only delivers its promises, but is committed to supporting growth across the State.

Released today, the latest NAB Business Survey has confirmed Tasmanian businesses are the second most confident in the nation and our result is four times better than the national result in trend terms.

Tasmania’s economy continues to be the envy of the nation, with this report backing the findings of the August Sensis Business Index, which stated Tasmanian businesses were the most confident in the country, with the most popular government policies in the nation.

In a sign of more good things to come, the Survey found that Tasmania’s businesses were the most confident in the nation during the month of October at an unprecedented +20 points, with the best conditions for business, at +10 points.

The Hodgman majority Liberal Government has delivered its fourth budget surplus in a row and is investing a record-breaking $3.6 billion into productivity-enhancing infrastructure, right around the state, as the Government looks to support businesses to grow and create jobs.
