More units to address housing shortage

The Hodgman Liberal Government continues to address Tasmania’s housing shortage and deliver on the outcomes from the Housing Summit.

Six new two-bedroom units at Cooee have now been completed and are ready to be handed over to Housing Tasmania, as part of 78 coming online around the state by the end of June.

We understand that some Tasmanians are doing it tough, and these properties form part of our Affordable Housing Strategy that is making a real difference in the lives of Tasmanians in need.

We are also investing a further $125 million in the second stage of our Affordable Housing Action Plan that will provide an additional 1500 new affordable homes for Tasmanians, and assist around 2000 households.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is getting on with the job and working hard every single day to ensure every Tasmanian has a roof over their head.
