More Labor splits emerge over decriminalising drugs

More Labor splits have emerged over their plan to decriminalise drugs, with another Labor candidate confirming she is in favour of decriminalisation.

A comment on Labor candidate Scott Faulkner’s Facebook page on July 13 states “It is time to decriminalise all drug use and end the war on drugs”, which has been ‘liked’ by fellow Labor candidate Zelinda Sherlock.*

While the fact that Labor wants drugs decriminalised and normalised is no surprise, the fact that Labor candidates are openly supporting it on social media is another sign that Rebecca White has no control of her party’s agenda.

This revelation comes after Josh Willie all but confirmed Labor wants to decriminalise drugs on Monday, only for Ms White to desperately try and downplay the issue yesterday.

It’s yet more evidence of Ms White’s lack of experience- she has endorsed candidates for the next election with no idea what they stand for on important issues, and no ability to keep them in line.
