More Labor lies

It is one thing for Labor to whinge about the State Budget, however to outright lie on social media is a new low, and a sign of Rebecca White’s increasing desperation.  Last week’s budget confirms that we will deliver on everything we committed to at the election, that our commitments are fully funded and that they will be delivered on time.

The facts are:

• Health – there is an extra $20 million for elective surgery in 2018-19 and the budget includes funding for 478 more hospital and health staff and 76 additional beds and we are delivering on our election commitments in full and on time.
• Housing – In 2018-19 our investment in affordable housing will be more than double the previous year, and we have a long term plan to provide an additional 1500 new affordable homes.
• Economy –Labor and the Greens drove Tasmania into recession, it took a Liberal Government to get Tasmania’s economy growing again.
• GST – we have a guarantee from the Prime Minister that Tasmania will not be worse off, Labor’s only guarantee is to look after WA.
• We’ve made important commitments beyond four years because we believe it’s important to provide confidence by planning for the future.

If Labor can’t even produce an alternative budget how can they ever be taken seriously?
