More funding for Northern Tasmanian arts

The Launceston Junction Arts Festival is in full swing showcasing incredible Tasmanian talent and artists.

The Hodgman Liberal Government is continuing to improve the lives of all Tasmanians, including in regional communities, by supporting our cultural and creative industry sector with new arts funding.

The Northern Tasmania Arts Organisations Initiative will support arts organisations across the north with $100 000 available each year for high-quality arts activities and creative ideas that engage and inspire audiences and the wider community.

This funding will also provide opportunities for the many professional artists and arts workers living and working in the region.

Eligible projects could include exhibitions, productions, concerts, literary magazines, publications, touring, arts activities within festivals, industry development, audience development, or community cultural development projects.

Arts organisations from across the north are encouraged to get their applications in to help the sector remain vibrant and grow.

Applications close on Monday, 15 October 2018, with more information at www.arts.tas.gov.au/nao.
