More AFL games for Tassie

We welcome North Melbourne’s decision to play four AFL games per season in Hobart through to 2021.

An extra AFL game in Hobart is good news for the state’s economy and, with eight regular season fixtures to be held in Tasmania for the next three seasons, it further demonstrates the commitment of Tasmanians to supporting live AFL football in the state.

While we remain committed to our ultimate goal of having a Tasmanian team in the national competition and continue to work with the AFL towards this goal, our partnerships with North Melbourne and Hawthorn through to 2021 deliver substantial economic benefits to the State and we welcome today’s announcement.
