Today I am pleased to announce that former Auditor-General of Tasmania, Mike Blake, will join the TasTAFE board and become Chair.
Mr Blake is the ideal appointment to chair TasTAFE at this time. He brings substantial audit experience (public and private sectors), and as a Director of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and chair of their audit and risk committee, bringing substantial financial and risk knowledge and understanding.
Professor and Principal of UTAS, Janelle Alison, will also join the board. She brings an excellent understanding of the higher education sector and VET sector, and has a good understanding of Tasmania’s industry and workforce needs.
They will be joined by new TasTAFE CEO Jenny Dodd early next year.
