MAST continues to benefit the community

It was my pleasure to table the 2016-17 MAST Annual Report today that confirms the great work they are doing in the community.

Some highlights from the Annual Report include:

  • The commencement of two major projects – the stabilisation of the Prosser River mouth at Orford and the access to the Port of St Helens.
  • Investment of $1.28 million in marine infrastructure through the recreational Boating Fund
  • Educating nearly 12,000 students about boating safety through the Department of Education’s Swimming and Water. Safety programs- a 50 per cent increase in the number of schools involved.

I congratulate MAST on their great work in the last financial year and look forward to more great outcomes in the years ahead.
