FACT: A low cost surgical termination service has been in operation in Tasmania since November last year, with referrals being received, and procedures having occurred.
Since Labor are again deliberately lying and obviously can’t count, it is worth noting that this was some 100 days ago.

Further, the Government, for the first time, has made available the Patient Travel Assistance Scheme for women who, despite the local service being available, choose to travel interstate to seek a termination. This assistance has been in place for more than a year now and wasn’t withdrawn with the commencement of the local low-cost service in November.
The Patient Travel Assistance scheme is also available for women living outside of Hobart for intra-state travel.
Labor’s crass political point scoring must stop.
The fact is clear – there is a low cost termination service being delivered by private hospital gynaecologists in Tasmania.
