By failing to do an Alternative Budget, Lazy Labor is attempting to avoid scrutiny of how they’ll pay for their promises.
Over the past two years they’ve already racked up nearly $1.5 billion in promises which they’ve yet to clarify whether they still stand behind – such as their pledge to unwind our savings measures from the 2014 budget.
Worse, over recent days Labor has engaged in “magic pudding” budgeting, arguing that both their transport and Cradle Mountain policies will be somehow self-funding.
But they’ve failed to provide a single shred of evidence, costings or modelling to back their claims.
Nothing Mr Green says tomorrow can be taken seriously unless Labor provide a full account of their *current* promises, and how they’ll pay for them.
