Landowners encouraged to apply for flood grant assistance

The Hodgman Liberal Government has stood firmly with Tasmania’s farmers and landowners as they recover from the 2016 flood event.

A range of initiatives were developed to help this recovery process from clean-up grants, emergency assistance grants, transport subsidies, rural relief funds and the vital work done by the Flood Recovery Taskforce.

There is still work to be done in many areas and landowners and businesses affected by the floods are encouraged to apply for assistance grants before the closing date of 31 March 2017.

These grants will further assist flood-affected communities, landowners and businesses through funding projects and services to clean up damage, rehabilitate land and provide business loans to those affected by the floods.

Flood-affected individuals and enterprises are encouraged to submit applications for  assistance before the 31 March 2017 cut-off date.
