Labor/Union child protection campaign exposed

A new CPSU campaign about child protection is deliberately aimed at the next state election and recruiting more members, no doubt to help fund Labor’s election war chest.

Have a Heart campaign documents make no secret of internal aims to increase recruitment to 90% in the South and 85% in the North West, while Bryan Green and Josh Willie are directly named as people the union will engage with during the campaign.

What this clearly confirms is that Labor is politicising child protection as part of a deliberate election strategy, coordinated with the unions.

This is exactly what we have seen Labor doing time and time again in parliament, waiting to use parliamentary privilege for strategic gain rather than raising any concerns straight away with authorities.

Labor is using vulnerable kids like pawns in a game. It’s not just wrong and unethical, it’s absolutely sick.

The reality is under the Hodgman Liberal Government we have 40 extra child protection staff and we are investing $20.6 million in redesigning the child protection system.

There is always more to do and we will keep working hard to do it,  driven by a belief that children in care deserve to have a safe and secure childhood; this is a far cry from Labor who will use anything and anyone for political gain.
