Today in the Legislative Council, Labor voted in support of establishing an inquiry into the size of Parliament.
This can only mean one thing – Labor supports more politicians.
Labor can’t have it both ways – on the one hand they pretend they don’t support more politicians, but then when push comes to shove, they vote for it.
In contrast, the Liberal position is clear: we don’t support increasing the size of Parliament, we believe that the estimated $12 million it would cost would be better spent on essential services like health, education, and public safety.
We opposed the motion.
