Labor to sink the boot into Tasmanian business

On the weekend is Rebecca White going to bow down to her union masters and accept their budget destroying agenda?

More than one in five of the proposed binding motions come directly from unions seeking to exert control over her policies, including new taxes and more restrictive procurement rules.

Of all the delegates to vote on the proposed motions, half will be sent from the unions themselves, demonstrating the overwhelming influence of unions over what Rebecca White says and does.

Tasmanians have not forgotten that under the Labor 10,000 jobs were lost and the unemployment rate peaked at over 8 per cent.

By contrast, over 14,700 jobs have been created under the Hodgman Liberal Government.

Today, Tasmanian businesses are the most confident in the nation and there has been 45 months of consecutive growth in retail trade figures.

We are cutting payroll tax, investing a record amount into the infrastructure our State needs and are opening new markets for Tasmanian businesses.

All this is at risk if Rebecca White gives in to policies which will increase tax, increase red tape and make it harder for Tasmanian business to grow and create jobs.

When Labor are put under pressure to come up with good policy and a plan which does not wreck the budget and destroy jobs, they simply can’t do it.

Given their policies were so unpopular at the last election is Rebecca White really going to double down and accept even more anti-jobs policies?
