Labor still hasn’t learned – Bryan Green “proud” of job-destroying Forest Deal

Despite their welcome and belated support for the special species sector, Labor still hasn’t changed their spots when it comes to forestry.

Last week, Bryan Green snuck off to Melbourne to attend Labor’s National Conference, where a motion was passed supporting the job-destroying Tasmanian Forestry Agreement.

Speaking in support of the motion, Mr Green said that he was “proud of our record in Tasmania with respect to conservation.”*

Mr Green went on to say:

“Today the conference will recognise the Tasmanian Forest Agreement as an important step forward with respect to protecting workers and the environment. And there is no way as the Leader of the Labor Party that I would look those people in the eye again and say that we’ve moved beyond it and we’ve changed our position.”

Labor just doesn’t get it. One the main reasons they lost the last election is because they got into bed with the Greens and shut down our forestry industry.

As long as they refuse to accept this fact, they will remain consigned to Opposition.
