Labor recycling policies they failed to deliver in the past

Tasmanians don’t trust the Labor party to deliver anything they commit to, particularly a commitment they’ve already failed to deliver in the past.

It's instructive that rather than coming up with new policies, Mr Green is lazily recycling David Bartlett's ideas. In 2008 Labor Premier David Bartlett promised to build 30 of these centres*, but ended up building only 11 after cutting their own policy because they had wrecked the budget. So why would Tasmanians believe they'd actually deliver this time?

Importantly, on top of the capital cost of building them Labor must explain what the ongoing recurrent cost of their two new centres will be to the budget.

In any case, the funds that Labor say they will spend on this project have already been redirected to job-creating infrastructure, which will be announced as part of the upcoming budget.

Tasmanians certainly won’t trust Bryan Green when he refuses to deliver an alternative budget and put their spending and savings on paper where they can be held accountable for their promises.
