Labor officially a policy free zone

Today Sarah Lovell has admitted what has been obvious for a long time – Labor is no longer committed to any of the policies they took to last year’s election.

It’s clear that after a year of defending her failed policy platform, Rebecca White’s Labor colleagues have had enough. They are washing their hands of Ms White’s thought bubbles and laying the groundwork for a change in leadership.

Labor and Ms White stand for nothing.

For the time being though, Labor are stuck with a Leader they don’t trust and a policy platform that no longer exists.

They must immediately outline what their position is on key issues Tasmanians care about, including whether they continue to oppose mandatory minimum sentences for serious child sex offenders.

It is now 638 days since Labor first voted against mandatory sentencing for child sex offenders. Today they officially ditched policies which they have held for less than half that time, yet they refuse to admit they were wrong and out of touch on this issue of child safety.
