After two years of being in opposition you would think that Labor could coherently explain one of its first so-called ``policies’’.
Instead, Tasmanians watched on yesterday as transport spokesman Craig Farrell blundered through an un-costed transport thought bubble ahead of our State Budget on Thursday.
Mr Farrell: ``We've got a... Ummm. We've got a table that will show how we increase each year, the costs will come down and, umm, the expense on the roads system and other systems of transport will be reduced to cover this."
It's little wonder that Tasmanians don’t trust Labor with money and the State’s finances.
Labor already has over $1 billion in unfunded promises and they just keep on racking up more and more spending.
The only way for Labor to regain any budget credibility is for them to release a comprehensive alternative budget next week, showing exactly how they will pay for their unfunded promises.
