The Tasmanian Liberal Government has taken strong action to provide electricity customers with support during the COVID-19 pandemic, including a power price decrease from 1 July 2020.
Aurora Energy is also investing $5 million to assist customers with bill relief, waiving fees or charges, and a range of other support measures, which is on top of the $45 million electricity concession scheme regarded as one of the most generous schemes in the nation.
I understand there is over $4 million left in this fund and If anyone is struggling with their bills, I urge them to contact Aurora as soon as possible so their situation can be properly assessed.
