Labor doubles down on TasWater privatization

Labor has a new leader, but nothing has changed.

Labor's spokeswomen Madeline Ogilvie has today confirmed that Labor still wants to ignore the water and sewerage failures in regional Tasmania, and instead focus on three projects in the cities.

Worst of all, they want to do this by privatising the assets, which could see prices rises of up to 18 per cent.

This means under Labor, regional Tasmanians will pay more, for the same inferior water and sewerage services.

In contrast, the Hodgman Liberals have a plan to fix water and sewerage for all Tasmanians, while at the same time reducing prices.
