Labor a policy-free zone as Bryan Green goes fishin’

Labor is now a policy-free zone, with Opposition Leader Bryan Green opting to go fishing instead.

Rather than developing fully funded, fully costed policies, Mr Green is spending his time at a fishing lodge more than 300 kilometres away from his electorate office in Burnie.

The website for Mr Green’s fishing lodge says that: “When you arrive at Twin Lakes you will be greeted by Bryan who is the manager and an accomplished fly fisherman with over 30 years’ experience under his belt.”

How can Mr Green be the manager of a fishing lodge and the Leader of the Opposition at the same time?  No wonder Labor has no policies and no plan for Tasmania when Mr Green is too busy fishing.

As a former Telstra Small Business person of the year, I’d suggest Mr Green isn’t the best selling point for his business.  After all, he’s been the Leader of the Opposition for three years now and he’s taken them backwards, with his personal approval ratings sinking.  I hope it’s easier to find a fish at Mr Green’s fishing lodge than it is to find a Tasmanian that thinks Bryan Green should be Premier.

What this shows is that only the Hodgman Government has a plan for Tasmania.  All Bryan Green has is a retirement plan for himself.
