Juicy Isle's confident expansion

The Tasmanian Government’s long-term Plan to encourage economic growth and job-creating investment is working.

In another vote for business confidence, Juicy Isle has invested $1.7 million to help grow its production capacity.

This was bolstered by a further $1.25 million from the Australian Government’s ‘Tasmanian Jobs and Growth Package’.

Five jobs were created during construction and the project will result in another 10 positions and help to secure the future of the company’s existing 100-strong workforce.

It also provides a knock-on boost for regional Tasmania as the business uses and supports local produce and suppliers wherever it can and this benefits local farmers, raw material cartage contractors and distribution contractors.

The announcement comes in the wake of the latest ComSec State of the State report which confirms Tasmania’s economic revival under the Hodgman Liberal Government.

It found Tasmania jumped to fourth ranked state and territory in the country, with improving population growth providing momentum to the housing and jobs markets.

However, we know not everyone is feeling the benefits of the stronger economy which is why we remain absolutely committed to economic growth and job creation as our number one priority.
