Joint Standing Committee on Integrity Interim Report

The Government notes the Interim Three Year Review Progress Report tabled by the Joint Standing Committee on Integrity today.

The Committee has indicated that it will be seeking to make recommendations that will improve the operation of the existing model. We will consider those recommendations when the final report is issued early next year.

The Government, in our submission to the enquiry, indicated that we would like to see all misconduct complaints managed appropriately, expensive duplication removed, and the elimination of stakeholder and legal concerns about lack of fair process.

We look forward to the Committee's recommendations about how this can be achieved.
