International Education Shines at Awards

Please note: This is under strict embargo until10pm tonight.

Excellence in international education across Tasmania was recognised at the 2014 Study Tasmania International Education Awards tonight.

Recognising international students, homestay hosts, community and staff members for their dedication, the awards help to build the growing international education sector in our State.

Tasmania benefits from the presence and contributions of international students.

The sharing of our world-class educational opportunities increases cultural, social and historical understandings among local students and the wider community.

The winners of these awards should be immensely proud of their achievements and I wish the students every success for their future careers, whether that be in Australia or in their home countries.
