Dr David Crean, Chair, Hydro Tasmania

Hydro Tasmania Chair

Dr David Crean has today announced his intention to step down as Chair of Hydro Tasmania after almost 10 years of service.

Dr Crean's announcement follows discussion between Dr Crean and the Government in relation to the future of the Chair and the Government's desire for renewal.

Dr Crean has agreed to stay on for up to six months in order to facilitate a smooth transition.

The Government will confirm its intention in relation to a replacement Chair in the coming weeks.

The Government acknowledges Dr Crean's significant contribution to Hydro Tasmania and Tasmania more broadly, and wishes him well in his future.

Dr Crean said he fully accepted the Government's desire for renewal and said that it has been an honour to serve in the capacity of Chair of Hydro Tasmania.

He said he had great faith in the future of the organisation and was pleased to work with the Government to effect a smooth transition.
