Tasmania has recorded the strongest annual growth in housing finance commitments in the country according to the latest ABS figures.
The data shows Tasmania was 1.3 per cent higher than the level of the year before in trend terms.
This result is well above the national average and is proof the Hodgman Liberal Government is helping more Tasmanians get a roof over their heads.
These figures are also a demonstration of confidence in our economy, with more people investing in the housing market and boosting our economy.
We are also delivering our Affordable Housing Action Plan – Stage 2, which will result in an additional 1500 new homes.
