The Hodgman Liberal Government is committed to easing the cost of living, as we know it’s a real issue for many Tasmanians.
That is why I’m very pleased to announce the Government will freeze MAIB premiums for motor vehicles, motorcycles and taxi or luxury hire cars.
This means the cost of registering your car or motorcycle will not rise, and will remain exactly the same as it is now. That means more money staying in your pocket.
Premiums will also decrease for farm tractors, off-road and recreational vehicles and special interest vehicles.
We want Tasmania to be one of the most affordable places in the country to live, work and raise a family, and today’s announcement will mean that Tasmanians will continue to enjoy the lowest motor vehicle premiums in Australia.
It’s great news for everyone registering a vehicle, and demonstrates our strong commitment to ease the cost of living pressures to the benefit of you, and your family
