A statement by Australian Greens Leader Christine Milne today condemning a Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) decision in Western Australia exposes the party for the hypocritical bullies that they are.
The Greens and their allies have shown that in spite of demanding that others do so, they will not accept the umpire's decision if it does not go in their favour.
Senator Milne says "environmentalists have been participating in good faith in the current FSC assessment for Forestry Tasmania" and that "the WA decision erodes confidence in the FSC process".
What hypocritical nonsense.
This is a disgraceful attempt to put pressure on FSC Australia and exhibits none of the "good faith" that Senator Milne claims.
The latter would require that the Greens actually respect the umpire's decision and not seek to put political pressure on the FSC by seemingly demanding that they somehow even the score.
The Greens are trying to bully the FSC to deliver the outcome they want while signalling they will not accept any decision that runs contrary to their wishes.
